An innovative and highly adaptable routing jig for fitting mortice locks into doors
LockMate allows the easy and efficient fitting of internal locks, external locks, euro locks and can also be used for morticing. It is portable, flexible and saves time when fitting locks compared to conventional methods. LockMate will accommodate doors ranging from a thickness of 32mm to 65mm and is self-securing and self-centering by means of two thumbscrews located at each end. With a robust and adaptable design, LockMate is made from high grade aluminium and weighs about 4kg.
LockMate may be adapted to suit other locks by special request.
I stumbled across this lock jig by chance, thankfully for me. I have now currently fitted 60 fire doors using this jig in conjunction with deep pocket cutters. It is by far the most comprehensive lock jig I have ever used, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this jig if you are a professional installer of doors. I contacted Universal engineering as I fit mostly Din standard Euro locks in schools and hotels, they produced a lock jig to accommodate the Din standard Euro lock for me.
